As he began walking back to the pavilion, Musheer, who was fielding nearby, allegedly said ‘Thank you’ in a sarcastic manner. The comment did not sit well with Shaw, who turned around and confronted the Mumbai youngster.
Witnesses said Shaw exchanged a few words with Musheer and appeared to raise his bat in frustration before on-field officials intervened. The umpires quickly stepped in to cool things down, ensuring that the altercation did not escalate further.

Following the heated moment, Shaw took the initiative to mend fences with Musheer. A source revealed that Shaw approached Musheer to apologise, acknowledging that his reaction had been excessive.
“Prithvi realised his mistake and spoke to Musheer, telling him, ‘I am like an elder brother to you.’ Things are now resolved between them,” the source added. The reconciliation was also aided by Shaw’s long-standing friendship with Musheer’s elder brother, Sarfaraz Khan, who helped smooth over the tension between the two young cricketers.
