India A’s second Unofficial Test against Australia A began with a major development as Shreyas Iyer withdrew from the game citing personal reasons. With Shreyas Iyer unavailable, wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel was appointed captain of India A for the ongoing second Unofficial Test. Jurel, who has been a rising name in red-ball cricket, now carries the responsibility of leading a talented lineup featuring KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal and Mohammed Siraj.
India A’s Playing XI for the contest includes: N Jagadeesan, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Devdutt Padikkal, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Dhruv Jurel (c & wk), Ayush Badoni, Prasidh Krishna, Mohammed Siraj, Gurnoor Brar and Manav Suthar.
On the other hand, Australia A, led by Nathan McSweeney, has fielded a balanced squad with players like Josh Philippe, Todd Murphy, and Henry Thornton.
