The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a grand cash reward for the Indian cricket team and its support staff following their emphatic victory over arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final held in Dubai. This giveaway celebrates India’s unbeaten campaign throughout the tournament, culminating in their ninth Asia Cup title. The BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia termed the win extraordinary and expressed immense pride in the players’ and staff’s superb performance. The team defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final, marking a clean sweep by India in all three encounters against Pakistan during the tournament.

Rs 21 crore prize announced by the BCCI is a massive reward, recognizing not just the players, but also the crucial contributions of the support staff who played a vital role behind the scenes. Although the exact distribution of this amount has not been disclosed, the cash award underscores the board’s strong appreciation for the team’s excellence and dominance in the Asia Cup.

The BCCI’s official social media channels celebrated the feat with captions highlighting India’s unwavering performance: “Three blows. 0 response. Asia Cup Champions. Message delivered. Rs 21 crores prize money for the team and support staff.”

Board vice president Rajeev Shukla also congratulated the team, praising the composure and skill shown by players like Tilak Varma and Kuldeep Yadav under pressure. The victory and financial reward have sparked jubilation among cricket fans across India, further cementing Team India’s reputation as a dominant force in Asian cricket.

Young talent Varma played the hero’s innings, scoring an unbeaten 69 runs off 53 balls, while Kuldeep’s bowling spell of 4 wickets for 30 runs was pivotal in dismantling Pakistan’s innings.
