The stage is set for the , which begins on September 30 and runs until November 2. Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, this 13th edition will witness exciting contests, as the world’s best eight women’s teams battle for glory across 31 matches.

Women’s World Cup 2025: Format, Teams and Venues

The tournament follows a round-robin league format, where each team plays the other once. The top four sides from the league will advance to the semi-finals, ensuring that consistency and depth will be key for any side looking to lift the trophy.

Eight powerhouses of women’s cricket are set to participate: , Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. With Australia aiming to extend their legacy, England looking to reclaim dominance, and India chasing their maiden crown, the competition is wide open.

Matches in India will be spread across Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam and Navi Mumbai, offering fans in different regions a chance to witness the action live. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will host fixtures at the iconic R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, adding its own flavor to the event.
